Country Living

You just never know what I’ll be up to around here. I could be quilting one day and building a barn the next. I just love living on our 10 acres with our heapin’ mess of critters.

Down Home Cooking

Cooking is really the first social networking activity humans ever learned. I love simple, good tasting, home cooked food (if it’s healthy that’s a perk!). Pull up a stool to the counter and sip some coffee while we whip up some supper together.

Family Life

Family is what life is all about. No one is going to leave this earth and wish they had spent more time at work. Some simple things to enhance your family life. “Try it, you’ll like it.”

The Moxie Mom

One of the joys of my life is getting to be a stay-at-home mom. I am so blessed to have a husband who supports me in this endeavor of raising our children. We have fun with homeschooling, 4-H, church, our farm/ranch/zoo and love living in Texas.

What a great day!

Submitted by Wendy Merritt on Sunday, 2 September 2007No Comment

I had a great day relaxing today! I went to church, watched TV with the kids, fell asleep watching TV with the kids…I woke myself up snoring! Hilarious, I know, chased pygmy goats…

Dakota and MeToday the funniest thing happened. The goats were almost to the street and needed to be rounded up back into the pasture. I was lazy. I went to let Dakota, my border collie, out the office door but there were three cats and she would not budge. She is a chicken. I went to the front door and she finally headed outside. She ran out to those goats like she knew what she was doing. She herded them into the pasture and would not stop until the very last one was put up. I was amazed. She had so much fun she wouldn’t come when I called her…I think we need to work on “come.” I have high hopes for never having to chase a goat again. I think we will begin some obedience training starting tomorrow. She was so proud of herself that when we got back to the house she promptly jumped into the koi pond! A major no,no. I laughed so hard!

Tomorrow is a holiday…I hope I do something fun! I think I will redesign my website at www.imagine-believe-achieve.com. We’ll see.
