Country Living

You just never know what I’ll be up to around here. I could be quilting one day and building a barn the next. I just love living on our 10 acres with our heapin’ mess of critters.

Down Home Cooking

Cooking is really the first social networking activity humans ever learned. I love simple, good tasting, home cooked food (if it’s healthy that’s a perk!). Pull up a stool to the counter and sip some coffee while we whip up some supper together.

Family Life

Family is what life is all about. No one is going to leave this earth and wish they had spent more time at work. Some simple things to enhance your family life. “Try it, you’ll like it.”

The Moxie Mom

One of the joys of my life is getting to be a stay-at-home mom. I am so blessed to have a husband who supports me in this endeavor of raising our children. We have fun with homeschooling, 4-H, church, our farm/ranch/zoo and love living in Texas.

Daily Wisdom 2009 Microsoft Outlook Daily Quotes

Would you like to get Daily Quotes for your Microsoft Outlook?

Like many of you I have switched from a paper planner to a digital planner. My phone syncs with Microsoft Outlook. My iPod Touch syncs with Microsoft Outlook. My PDA syncs with Microsoft Outlook. My PC displays Microsoft Outlook. My Google Calendar syncs with Microsoft Outlook. I digress. The one thing I really miss is the great quotes that were on my paper calendar. Daily I was greeted with some wonderfully movtivating quote. I miss those. :-(

I could gather all the quotes, create a database, check the database, map the database with Microsoft Outlook…but just talking about is making my head spin!

What I did find was a cheap great application that did all that for me! :-) This was originally created to sync with a Palm device but the reality is the database stores in Microsoft Outlook or Palm Desktop and is a great asset for desktop users too.

With this cheap, easy to install Daily Wisdom 2009 from Aurora Software will deliver a quotation every day from January 1 to December 31! All you have to do is import the data file into Outlook or Palm Desktop programs on your PC and then you are ready to go.

Some of the quotes you can expect to enjoy are:

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

~ Confucius

As you enter positions of trust and power, dream a little before you think.

~ Toni Morrison

The chief danger in life is that you may take too may precautions.

~ Alfred Adler

The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary.

~ Unknown

Man’s mind stretched to a new idea never goes back to its original dimensions.

~ Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

~ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they flyby.

~ Douglas Adams

The most beautiful things in the world are not seen nor touched. They are felt with the heart.

~ Helen Keller

Once you purchase the program from either their website at www.aurorasoftware.biz or from www.download.com you will be given a download .exe file that extracts into the necessary files. Open the Daily_Wisdom_2009.pdf file for a complete set of directions and pictures.
