Country Living

You just never know what I’ll be up to around here. I could be quilting one day and building a barn the next. I just love living on our 10 acres with our heapin’ mess of critters.

Down Home Cooking

Cooking is really the first social networking activity humans ever learned. I love simple, good tasting, home cooked food (if it’s healthy that’s a perk!). Pull up a stool to the counter and sip some coffee while we whip up some supper together.

Family Life

Family is what life is all about. No one is going to leave this earth and wish they had spent more time at work. Some simple things to enhance your family life. “Try it, you’ll like it.”

The Moxie Mom

One of the joys of my life is getting to be a stay-at-home mom. I am so blessed to have a husband who supports me in this endeavor of raising our children. We have fun with homeschooling, 4-H, church, our farm/ranch/zoo and love living in Texas.

Cleaner Easier Blog Ads with Max Banner Ads

Submitted by Wendy Merritt on Monday, 15 June 2009No Comment

I have tried several affiliate advertising plugins on various blogs. I have found that my MaxBlogPress Max Banner Ads plugin has out performed all other ad managing WordPress plugins. Not to mention it is super simple to maintain, track and implement affiliate or other types of advertising on your blog. Visually it offers a very clean and easy to use advertising space.

I first tried the free version of this plugin just to check the ease of use and conversion. You can check out the free version of MaxBlogPress Max Banner Ads by clicking >>Here. Basically the only difference is that in the free version they add a link at the bottom that says, “Powered by Max Banner Ads” you can even have this link attribute sales to your ClickBank affiliate account…that is a cool thing.

After using the free version for about 60 days and tracking my conversions I noticed this is one sweet plugin. It was then time to convert to the full version or Max Banner Ads Pro. This removes the link at the bottom and gives you a lifetime of updates on your blogs.

Upgrading was super simple:

  • You just download your product
  • Deactivate the free version
  • In WordPress 2.7+ go to PLUGINS/ADD NEW (any version below 2.7 upload the Pro version to WP-CONTENT/PLUGINS/FOLDER)
  • Use the CHOOSE FILE button to locate the file on your pc
  • Click on INSTALL NOW button
  • Activate your plugin and you are good to go!
  • It imports all your previous setting automagically :-)

Inside the plugin on your WordPress blog admin you will be able to see your ads name, view a preview of ad, track number of impressions, track the number of click throughs. The program will calculate a CTR % for you (Click Through Rate), view the status of each ad and have various ad actions to choose from.

I am confident you will love this plugin just as much as I do. Blessings with your affiliate marketing endeavors.
